Platform terms & product responsibilities
Version 2026-09-21-v1 · Published September 21, 2026.
These terms apply to your use of the Genform website, customer portal, design tools and storefront services. Read them before accepting. You may print or save this page. If you do not accept, do not use the platform. Questions: genform.us@gmail.com.
1. Genform’s role
Genform provides software for creating and customizing designs, managing a storefront and connecting with independent service providers. Where enabled, Genform acts as a technical and commercial intermediary, transmitting orders, coordinating payments and external fulfillment, and routing support.
Independent partners perform physical production and transport. Genform does not itself print, assemble or transport products. Access to Genform does not include product certification, regulatory approval, electrical testing or a service to act as your EU responsible economic operator.
The legal role and duties of each party depend on the actual product and services involved. These terms do not override that assessment or exclude Genform’s own legal obligations.
2. Your account, designs and permitted use
Provide accurate information, protect your account credentials and use only designs and information you are entitled to upload, modify, manufacture or sell. If you act for a business, you must be authorized to do so. Do not use the service for unlawful activity or to offer unsafe or prohibited products.
You retain your rights in your own uploaded content. You authorize Genform and the relevant service providers to process that content as needed to provide the features you request. Access to third-party designs or software remains subject to their applicable licenses.
3. Seller and product responsibilities
If you offer products for sale, you are responsible for identifying and meeting the obligations that apply to your role, product and destination market. These may include product risk assessment and tests, technical documentation, conformity declarations, required markings, labels, instructions, traceability, registration and an economic operator established in the destination market where legally required.
Having a product made by someone else and selling it under your own name or brand may make you the manufacturer under applicable law. Outsourcing printing, assembly or shipping does not by itself remove that responsibility. Selling through Genform is not evidence of regulatory compliance.
Before publishing or selling, verify the complete product and all offered configurations. Give buyers accurate information about the seller, intended use, limitations, materials, included parts, assembly, warnings, price and applicable purchase conditions. Meet your tax, consumer-service and waste-management obligations where applicable. Notify Genform promptly of safety concerns affecting products offered through it.
4. Lamps, components and assembly
A printed lampshade or enclosure is different from a complete electrical lamp. Cables, plugs, lamp holders, switches, light sources, power supplies, fixings and assembly are included only when the relevant offer expressly says so. Confirm the exact components and who supplies and assembles them.
A compliant individual component does not establish compliance of the assembled product. Assess the finished product for its intended use, including heat, stability, electrical and material risks where relevant. A material name or printable model is not a statement of electrical or fire safety.
5. Designs, previews and third-party services
Previews, generated files, printability checks and quotes support your workflow; they do not certify safety or fitness for a particular use. Validate dimensions, tolerances, materials, assembly and the final result before sale or use. Relevant design or material changes may require further validation.
External manufacturing, delivery and payment services have their own operational requirements. Their availability, acceptance of a file or quote does not establish that a product is legally ready for sale in a destination market.
6. Subscriptions, orders and additional terms
Accepting these platform terms does not start a paid subscription, place an order or authorize a charge. Plan prices and features must be disclosed before subscription. Manufacturing, shipping, payment fees and taxes may be separate costs disclosed in the relevant commercial flow.
The commerce and external manufacturing terms additionally apply when those services are used. Their seller onboarding, estimate approval and buyer purchase acceptance remain separate steps. This initial platform acceptance does not replace them.
7. Rights, responsibilities and safety action
Each party remains responsible for its own acts, omissions and obligations under applicable law. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, mandatory consumer rights, statutory guarantees or remedies, or a consumer’s mandatory jurisdiction rights.
Genform may restrict a listing or access where needed to address unlawful use, product safety issues or a legal requirement, and will provide notice where appropriate and legally permitted. Required cooperation, corrective action or buyer notification is not waived by these terms.
8. Acceptance and changes
The initial access screen requires affirmative, unchecked confirmations. It stores the accepted version, date and confirmations in this browser. Clearing site storage or using another browser requires acceptance again. This browser record is not an authenticated account signature or a manufacturing approval.
A new platform-terms version requires a new acceptance before continuing through the gated pages. Changes do not retroactively replace the recorded terms of an existing order. Separate commercial acceptances continue to be recorded in the relevant seller or purchase flow.
